30 day challenge

I have recently become a stay at home mom.....

 

YAHOO!!!!

 

Having such a fun time doing it. I love spending time with my little man and getting to do many more things that I truly enjoy. I have wanted to improve my photography skills for quite awhile now and now I have time and opportunity!

 

I first thing I thought I would do is a photography challenge.

 

 

Found this little puppy online and away we go!

I am trying to learn more about my camera as we go along and exactly what wonderful things I can do with it!

 

Day 1: Self Portrait

 

As my loving husband said, "You picked an awesome day to do a self portrait."

Alas, He is correct!

I am sick as a dog and obviously the appearance and facial expression reflect the sickness.

 

Still, I had a great time messing with my camera aperture, shutter speed and white balance to get this picture. Even though I have a dinosaur for a camera (an old Nikon D50) it is still amazing what it can do!

 

More to come! I promise I am going to be diligent about this project. It's good for me!
